Mannose
D-Mannose is a white, crystalline powder
with a sweet taste. It is widely found in nature in many foods, such as
vegetables, fruits, and xylitol, etc. Mannose is widely used in the
pharmaceutical and food industries, and has been widely studied for its
biological activity and pharmacological effects.
Identity and stereochemical form versus assay
No. Identity, form and measured content are separate fields, and the method must be able to distinguish the relevant materials. One assay percentage does not establish the required D, L or other composition.
Defining the solution concentration basis
Mass fraction, mass concentration and molar concentration use different denominators. Retain material mass, final solution amount and assay basis. Dividing material mass by added water alone need not give the final solution concentration.
Linking repacking and prepared-solution records
Keep the original batch and opening date with repacked material. Link each preparation to the actual weighing, water, final volume or mass and preparation time to distinguish material changes from preparation or storage changes.
