Galactose
Galactose is a disaccharide substance
consisting of glucose and galactose molecules. It is one of the main components
of lactose and is also the non-hydrated form of lactose.
One molecular formula can describe different sugars
A formula gives elemental counts, not the full spatial structure. Galactose and glucose are different materials; retain the specific form and identification conditions rather than treating all monosaccharides as interchangeable.
Matched conditions for development comparisons
Control concentration definition, water or base, temperature and processing time. Define the analytical or formulation endpoint so changes in the test conditions are not mistaken for material differences.
Batch identity through opening and sampling
Keep the original batch, opening time and repacking destination, and use clean tools. Repacked labels should link to the source batch, not merely repeat the generic galactose name.
